There is a smaIl river called the Xiansjiang River in my hometown．It is said that it was，twcnty，ycars ago，very beautiful，with rirer water clear and clean． Standing on the bank，We used to see a lot of fish swimming in the watcr happily，grown-ups and children playing，fishing and swimming in the morning and evening．The Xiangjiang River!a beautifl rivcr!
However,those days have passed，and when walking along the river,we can smell a sort of strange stink．We are only able to catch sight of nothing but a throwing black river．It is discovered that a pIenty of waste industrial water from several factories nearby is directly poured into the river without being clealled．Because this river is polluted，many living things have been killcd．
It lsn't such good condition in the Xiangjiang River that We have to make a plan to run it,such aS stopping factories pouring harmful waste water into it and keep people from．piling rubbishes at the side ofthe river．Let's try our best to make the Xiangjiang River get beautiful again．
三、在句与句之间添加适当的连词
一篇短文写完，在逻辑和遣词造句方面是不可能令人满意的，为了使上下文逻辑通顺，读起来连贯，我们应该认真阅读，除了修改一些小恰当词汇和句子外，还要在句与句之间加上适当的词，比如上文中的“…however…and．．．but．．．because…such…that…such as…”就是加上去的。如果在句子之间没有这些连词，上下文读起来就不会产生较强的感觉，也不会留下较强的印象，所以连词就像一列火车上连接各个车箱的挂钩，缺了它们，一个个车箱就孤立无助，无法行走了。
四、教会学生用英语灵活表达汉语成语
语言只是一种工具，说或写都是为了表情达意，无论是中学生还是成年人用英语写作文，思考时都会遇到这样的问题，汉语成语常跳出来影响，不知道怎样用英语表达一些成语。为了教会同学们勇敢表达自己的思想，鼓励他们开口和动笔时尽量用简单的英语把汉语成语的意思表达出来或写出来，只要所说的或所写的和汉语的意思一样就可以了。比如他们要把汉语成语“精益求精”用英语表达出来，我们让他们知道它的含义是“做事情要好上加好”。受到启发后，同学们就会把它写成“to make something borer and better”。用了这种方法后，我们发现同学们的英语作文和以前相比好多了，他们也变得有话可说了。
英语写作是一项复杂的心里活动，学生要学会它都要经历几个过程，如语言知识的积累，句子的仿造，句子的扩写、作文的改写、自我创作和文章修改等等，学生不经过老师的认真指点，不去反复的实践．要写好书面表达是不可能的，一些基础比较薄弱的学生不经过这样的无数次训练，无论如何也不能取得突破性进展。
以上只是我在进行英语书面表达教学中的几点尝试，写出来和我的同行们交流，如有不妥之处，请各位指教。
